Chris Manhertz's new injury and Theo Johnson's limitation could give the Giants a reason to test Thomas Fidone II in a small role.

Alexander Wilson argues that the New York Giants should consider incorporating reserve tight end Thomas Fidone II into a limited receiving role against Houston. Fidone practiced fully despite dealing with a shoulder issue, while tight ends Chris Manhertz missed practice with a calf injury and Theo Johnson remained limited by a neck problem.
Wilson suggests designing a small assignment to evaluate Fidone, who has no catches across nine career appearances. While acknowledging Fidone cannot directly replace Manhertz's blocking, Wilson argues against overloading starter Isaiah Likely and believes the Giants should test Fidone's pass-catching potential.
