Imagine watching a 49-year-old quarterback running through the gridiron as the offensive line tries its best to keep the pocket from collapsing. It may not be an interesting storyline for many. But if we put Tom Brady as that 49-year-old…

Head coach John Harbaugh dismissed the prospect of Tom Brady immediately returning to the field, questioning whether the 49-year-old would even be ready to play right away amid persistent comeback rumors. Harbaugh indicated that even if Brady hypothetically joined his team, he would not start him over young quarterback J.J. McCarthy in the opening week.
Brady previously retired in 2023 following a decorated 23-season NFL career that featured seven Super Bowl championships.
