The New York Giants' hopes of reuniting with Tampa Bay Buccaneers veteran defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson are all but gone.

Writer Lior Lampert argues that the New York Giants' chances of acquiring defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson via trade have drastically decreased due to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' recent resurgence. After starting 0-4, Tampa Bay won three of its next four games to enter playoff contention, making the franchise unlikely to sell veteran assets before the NFL trade deadline.
Robinson, who played for the Giants in 2023, has recorded 22 tackles, two interceptions, and a sack across eight games for the Buccaneers this season. With Robinson likely unavailable, Lampert suggests New York could instead target defensive tackles such as Dalvin Tomlinson of the Los Angeles Chargers or Grover Stewart of the Indianapolis Colts.
