After New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart went down with a season-ending injury in Week 2, it would have been hard to envision a scenario where the Giants were buyers at the NFL trade deadline. In fact, even two weeks ago…

NFL insider Albert Breer reported that the New York Giants are actively exploring the trade market for defensive tackles ahead of the trade deadline. Following a key victory over the Houston Texans led by quarterback J.J. McCarthy, the Giants are positioning themselves to make a playoff push and compete for their first division title since 2011.
According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, potential trade targets include Washington Commanders defensive tackle Daron Payne and Tampa Bay Buccaneers veteran A'Shawn Robinson. Depth along the interior defensive line behind starters Shelby Harris and D.J. Reader has reportedly been an ongoing issue, leading the Giants to pursue potential trade acquisitions.
