Follow the latest updates from the Quest Diagnostics Training Center as the New York Giants (4-2-1) prepare for their Week 9 road game against the Philadelphia Eagles (2-6).

The New York Giants updated their roster and tracked division action ahead of Week 9 as they extended their NFC East lead to 4-2-1 during their bye week. Running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. was placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury suffered in the Week 7 overtime win against the Houston Texans. In corresponding moves, the Giants signed running back Gregory Desrosiers from the Los Angeles Chargers' practice squad, released wide receiver Jason Brownlee, and added veteran defensive lineman Dean Lowry to their practice squad.
Giants general manager Joe Schoen noted that Tracy's injury is not expected to be season-ending. Meanwhile, the Giants' divisional advantage increased after the Philadelphia Eagles dropped to 2-6 with a 27-10 defeat to the Washington Commanders, and the Dallas Cowboys fell in overtime to the Arizona Cardinals. Head coach John Harbaugh and the Giants prepare to resume play with consecutive NFC East matchups against Philadelphia and Washington.
