New York Jets edge Will McDonald got off to a bit of a rough start in 2026, but it seems he's finally starting to gain the trust of Aaron Glenn and his staff.
New York Jets pass rusher Will McDonald is earning the trust of head coach Aaron Glenn by contributing across multiple roles, including defense and special teams. During a Monday press conference following the Jets' Week 5 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, Glenn praised the former first-round pick for serving effectively as a spy against quarterback Deshaun Watson, as well as making key plays on kickoff coverage.
McDonald posted three pressures, a sack, a run stop, and a forced fumble against Cleveland, earning a 74.2 Pro Football Focus grade. Additionally, Glenn highlighted that McDonald recorded two tackles on the kickoff unit, reflecting the edge rusher's expanding role and effort on special teams.
