The NFL has announced its decision on Uchenna Nwosu’s horse-collar tackle of Patrick Mahomes during the Seahawks’ win over the Chiefs.

The NFL has fined Seattle Seahawks linebacker Uchenna Nwosu $17,911 for unnecessary roughness following a horse-collar tackle on Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The incident occurred during Seattle's 20-3 victory over Kansas City on October 25, 2026, with 2:46 remaining in the third quarter.
Although Nwosu's tackle did not cost Seattle yardage during the game due to an offsetting holding penalty called against Chiefs offensive lineman Joshua Ezeudu, the league issued the standard first-offense fine after review. The fine followed a dominant Seahawks defensive showing that kept Kansas City out of the end zone.
