The NFL has fined Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter $12,537 for unnecessary roughness following an altercation during Monday night's 38-21 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The league penalized Carter after he struck Cowboys tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford twice in the head and neck area after the whistle in the third quarter.
Although Carter was not penalized during the game, the fine marks the sixth disciplinary penalty of his NFL career, bringing his total career fines to over $127,000. The incident comes amid a difficult stretch for the Eagles, who have dropped five consecutive games.
