The Eagles add more depth to the running back room in wake of injures.

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed running back Ian Wheeler to their practice squad ahead of their Week 6 game against the Carolina Panthers. Wheeler previously featured on HBO's Hard Knocks in 2024 as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Chicago Bears before spending time with the New Orleans Saints and Buffalo Bills.
Wheeler played collegiate football at Howard University, where he was accepted into medical school before deferring enrollment to pursue professional football. He also won a championship with the UFL's Louisville Kings in 2026, earning United Bowl MVP honors after averaging 8.1 yards per carry.
