The Pittsburgh Steelers could miss out on a 2027 sixth-round pick if Joey Porter Jr. doesn't make another Dallas Cowboys game-day roster.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Joey Porter Jr. is listed as questionable with an ankle injury for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. The Pittsburgh Steelers are monitoring Porter's availability because a conditional 2027 sixth-round draft pick from Dallas depends on him being active for two games. Porter has only played in one contest for Dallas so far after missing time with an illness.
The conditional draft selection originally belonged to Pittsburgh before being traded to Dallas in the George Pickens deal. The trade also netted Pittsburgh a 2028 second-round pick that remains unconditional. Writer Allison Koehler notes that missing out on the sixth-rounder would thin Pittsburgh's trade return, especially as general manager Omar Khan continues addressing secondary depth issues.
