The San Francisco 49ers’ defensive line has been thinned by injury for most of the young season, yet the 49ers are still unbeaten and now expect one of their most promising edge rushers back in the lineup.
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan announced that edge rusher Mykel Williams should be available for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. Williams, selected No. 11 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, began the season on the physically unable to perform list while rehabilitating a torn ACL sustained during his rookie campaign.
His expected return provides crucial depth to an unbeaten 4-0 San Francisco defense that is dealing with numerous defensive line injuries. Key contributors Alfred Collins, Sam Okuayinonu, James Thompson Jr., C.J. West, and Nick Bosa are all currently sidelined or unlikely to play.
