49ers target interior O-line help in 2027 NFL mock draft

Bleacher Report analyst Brent Sobleski projected the San Francisco 49ers to select Iowa interior offensive lineman Kade Pieper with the No. 32 overall pick in his latest 2027 NFL mock draft. Sobleski noted that general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan could look to upgrade the interior offensive line, highlighting Pieper as an option to start at left guard or potentially replace veteran center Jake Brendel.

According to Pro Football Focus, Pieper has allowed just two pressures on 173 pass-blocking snaps across six starts for the Hawkeyes this season, earning an 88.1 pass-blocking grade. Sobleski praised Pieper's athleticism, lateral quickness, and natural fit for San Francisco's movement-heavy running scheme, despite a need to add more mass and play strength.
