Brandon Aiyuk remains on the 49ers’ reserve/left squad list after months of social media agitation, hoping to be released so he can sign with the Commanders.
Brandon Aiyuk remains on the San Francisco 49ers' reserve/left squad list as he seeks a release to potentially join the Washington Commanders. The NFL Players Association has reportedly tried to reach Aiyuk multiple times without receiving a response. Former teammates noted growing concerns about his behavior and communication, while Saints wide receiver Dante Pettis confirmed he remains unsure about Aiyuk's current status.
Aiyuk has fired his agent and stated he will not do business with the 49ers, leaving him without a petition for reinstatement. The 49ers previously voided his contract guarantees after placing him on the left squad list, creating an ongoing standoff between the receiver and the organization.
