Steve Young believes the undefeated 49ers have a chance to win Super Bowl LXI and urges San Francisco to make a trade to strengthen its roster.

Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young urged the San Francisco 49ers to be aggressive with midseason trades following their 5-0 start to the 2026 campaign. Speaking on Bay Area radio station KNBR, Young argued that the franchise must go all-in to pursue a Super Bowl title rather than worrying about future seasons, warning against complacency despite early divisional wins.
Young highlighted the team's pass rush and defensive depth as key areas needing reinforcement before December. He pointed to division rivals like the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks, emphasizing that competing teams will improve as they get healthier down the stretch.
