The Titans entered Sunday with hope a win could be a springboard for the rest of the season. They left Nissan Stadium with a 26-3 loss to the previously winless Texans.

Steve Layman argues that hope is fading for the Tennessee Titans following a 26-3 home defeat against the Houston Texans. Both teams entered the contest at 0-4, but Tennessee managed only an early Joey Slye field goal before going scoreless over the final 55 minutes. Houston quarterback C.J. Stroud scored a rushing touchdown and threw another to Jaylin Noel, while Ka'imi Fairbairn converted four field goals.
Layman highlights that the Titans have now lost 11 consecutive divisional games and hold a 6-33 record over an extended stretch. Despite quarterback Cam Ward completing 23 of 36 passes for 170 yards with an interception and four sacks, head coach Robert Saleh affirmed postgame that Ward remains the team's starting quarterback.
