Down Jayden Daniels to an elbow injury once again, the Commanders upset the Seahawks with Marcus Mariota at the controls. The team may not need to use this adjusted setup for much longer, however.
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels will return to practice this week and travel with the team to London for their Week 4 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, according to head coach Dan Quinn. Daniels missed Week 3 due to an elbow dislocation, though he is currently not scheduled for surgery until after the 2026 campaign.
Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota started in Week 3, throwing three touchdown passes and 183 yards to lead Washington to an upset win over the Seattle Seahawks. Daniels' participation in practice will help establish his timeline, keeping open the possibility of a faster return than initially anticipated.
