Bruins Explode For Four-Goal Third Period, Knock Off Flyers at Home

The Boston Bruins closed out their home preseason schedule with a 5-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday at TD Garden. Mikey Eyssimont scored twice, while Morgan Geekie, Brian Halonen, and Elias Lindholm each added third-period goals to secure the win. Boston goaltender Jeremy Swayman stopped 20 of 21 shots.

Eyssimont opened the scoring in the first period before Jacob Gaucher leveled the game for Philadelphia. Flyers starting goaltender Dan Vladar was pulled due to injury and replaced by Aleksei Kolosov. In the third period, Morgan Geekie broke the 1-1 tie on the power play following an assist from David Pastrnak.
