News from the Board of Governors meeting including a new chair, revenue projections, and the latest on expansion.

The NHL Board of Governors held its latest meeting on Tuesday, where Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis was unanimously elected as the new board chair. Leonsis replaces Boston Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs, who is stepping down after serving 19 years in the position.
In addition to Leonsis's appointment, Calgary Flames owner Murray Edwards was selected to serve as the board's vice-chair. Both executives bring substantial tenure to their positions, with Leonsis owning the Capitals since 1999 and Edwards holding a stake in the Flames since 1994.
