Bruins Have Trade Offer for $69 Million Star Forward Rejected

Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney submitted an official trade offer to the Detroit Red Wings for center Dylan Larkin, but the proposal was rejected. According to reports from David Pagnotta, Boston pursued the star center to address a key roster need. However, Larkin, who is playing under an eight-year, $69.6 million contract extension, reportedly does not include the Bruins among his preferred trade destinations.

Larkin holds a full no-trade clause for one more season, giving him control over any permanent move away from Detroit. While NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported Larkin expanded his trade list to around eight clubs, Boston remains excluded. The Bruins reportedly likely included forward Pavel Zacha in the proposed deal as Detroit seeks NHL-ready talent rather than draft picks.
