Smooth-skating Will Borgen looked solid in his Boston Bruins debut.

Newly acquired defenseman Will Borgen made an impressive debut for the Boston Bruins against the New York Rangers, helping to cover for the suspended Charlie McAvoy. McAvoy is serving a six-game suspension following a slashing incident in the previous season's playoffs. Playing on the top pairing alongside Hampus Lindholm, Borgen registered a +2 rating in just under 18 minutes of ice time.
Writer Aaron Clancy highlights that Borgen's smooth skating and puck-retrieval ability will provide a crucial boost to the blue line. Boston acquired Borgen in the offseason from the Rangers for draft picks to replace Andrew Peeke.
