Henri Jokiharju only appeared in 41 out of possible 82 games last season.

The Boston Bruins are reportedly seeking a trade partner for defenseman Henri Jokiharju after assigning him to the AHL's Providence Bruins. According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Boston is actively attempting to find a new landing spot for the 27-year-old blueliner, who cleared waivers after failing to make the NHL roster out of training camp amid a blue-line surplus.
Jokiharju signed a three-year, $9 million contract in June 2025 but struggled to fit under head coach Marco Sturm, appearing in only 41 games last season. With a $3 million annual cap hit through next season, Boston may reportedly need to attach a draft pick or accept minimal return to facilitate a permanent trade.
