Hurricanes Designate Seth Jarvis To Injured Non-Roster List

The Carolina Hurricanes have placed forward Seth Jarvis on the injured non-roster list to begin the 2026-27 season. Jarvis underwent surgery in June to repair a torn labrum and rotator cuff, carrying an estimated recovery timeline of four to six months. Although he was reported to be ahead of schedule at the start of training camp, the 24-year-old winger could miss multiple weeks or up to the first half of the season.

Jarvis originally sustained the shoulder issue during the 2023-24 campaign but played through it, winning a Stanley Cup and an Olympic silver medal before addressing it surgically. Jarvis scored a team-leading 32 goals last season and is entering the third year of an eight-year, $59.36 million contract. Carolina is now exploring internal lineup adjustments across its forward group to replace his top-line minutes.
