Logan Stankoven recorded his first career hat trick to lead the Carolina Hurricanes to a 7-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night in Raleigh, North Carolina. Andrei Svechnikov added two power-play goals during a dominant first period, helping Carolina extend their winning streak to three games.
K'Andre Miller and Mark Jankowski also scored for Carolina, while Sean Walker contributed a career-high four assists. Jake DeBrusk scored both goals for Vancouver, and Pyotr Kochetkov made 18 saves to secure the win for the Hurricanes.
