New Season: The Players Remain The Same

Carolina Hurricanes general manager Eric Tulsky addressed the media ahead of the team's season opener to discuss roster decisions. Tulsky confirmed that while Felix Unger Sorum and Bradly Nadeau earned spots, there is currently no room on the main roster, though both have earned the trust of head coach Rod Brind'Amour. Additionally, defenseman Alexander Nikishin remains unsigned following an agent change.

Elsewhere on the roster, Charles Alexis Legault appears set to fill in for Nikishin on defense. Goaltender Frederik Andersen signed with the Edmonton Oilers, while Seth Jarvis is currently placed on injured reserve. Tulsky also confirmed the team is carrying three goaltenders to avoid losing Cayden Primeau to waivers.
