The Colorado Avalanche have a no-brainer choice when it comes to Dylan Larkin, at least that's what one notable insider thinks.

According to insider Pierre LeBrun, the Colorado Avalanche have not engaged in trade talks for Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin. LeBrun noted that the Avalanche have zero interest at this point due to an existing surplus of centers on their roster, making a pursuit unnecessary.
Mile High Sticking reports that Larkin's $8.7 million salary cap hit and high asking price further discourage a deal. While the outlet outlines hypothetical offseason scenarios involving upcoming free agents, it concludes an in-season trade remains highly unlikely.
