Colorado Avalanche defenseman Josh Manson is expected to miss approximately eight weeks after suffering an ankle injury against the New Jersey Devils. Head coach Jared Bednar announced the long-term timeline, confirming the veteran blue-liner will be sidelined for the foreseeable future. Manson had appeared in each of the team's first 13 games this season.
In Manson's absence, Colorado will lean more heavily on defenseman Noah Juulsen, who practiced alongside Brett Kulak on Thursday. Manson has recorded one goal and three assists this season while averaging 14:59 of ice time in the first year of his three-year contract extension.
