Blue Jackets’ Matthew Knies Plans Revealed After Maple Leafs Trade

Following his trade from the Toronto Maple Leafs, Matthew Knies is slated to make his Columbus Blue Jackets debut on the team's top forward line. Knies will skate alongside center Adam Fantilli and winger Kent Johnson in Columbus' regular-season opener on Thursday against the Buffalo Sabres.

Knies arrived in Columbus as the centerpiece of a trade that sent Kirill Marchenko to Toronto. The Blue Jackets will host the Maple Leafs on October 20, marking the first matchup between the teams since the trade.
