Jake Oettinger’s historic shutout streak anchors a dominant defensive performance while the Dallas Finnish connection fuels the offense to keep the special teams units surging past Chicago.

Jake Oettinger stopped 19 shots to earn his third shutout of the season as the Dallas Stars defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 4-0 on Saturday night. With the victory, Oettinger became the fastest goaltender to record three shutouts in a season, achieving the feat in just six starts following earlier shutouts against San Jose and Buffalo.
Jason Robertson opened the scoring on a power play before Finnish forwards Arttu Hyry scored twice and Roope Hintz added another. Wyatt Johnston returned after an illness, while Oskar Back is set to miss several weeks due to a broken finger.
