CHICAGO — Jake Oettinger made 19 saves for his third shutout in six starts, and Arttu Hyry scored twice for the first multigoal game of his NHL career on Saturday night.
Jake Oettinger stopped all 19 shots to earn his third shutout in six starts as the Dallas Stars defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 4-0 on Saturday night at United Center. Oettinger became the first goaltender in Stars franchise history to record three shutouts across his first six games of a season. Arttu Hyry led the offense by scoring twice, marking the first multigoal game of his NHL career, while Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz also scored for Dallas.
The victory marked the 200th NHL coaching win for Stars head coach Glen Gulutzan as Dallas improved to 4-3-1 on the season. Chicago goaltender Spencer Knight recorded 28 saves on 32 shots in the loss. Late in the third period, Hintz left the ice after taking a puck to his right hand or wrist area, with no immediate update provided on his condition.
