CHICAGO — Roope Hintz was examined after the Dallas Stars’ 4-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night, having taken a puck to the right hand or wrist area late in the third period, Bruce Miles of NHL.com reported.
Dallas Stars forward Roope Hintz exited late in the third period with a right hand or wrist injury during a 4-0 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday. Hintz was struck by a puck shortly after scoring the team's fourth goal at the United Center. Head coach Glen Gulutzan provided no immediate post-game update regarding Hintz's status.
The potential setback adds to existing forward injuries for Dallas, with Matt Duchene sidelined for approximately three months and Oskar Bäck on injured reserve. Arttu Hyry scored twice in the win over Chicago, while Wyatt Johnston returned to action after missing two games with an illness.
