Miro Heiskanen ignited a relentless offensive surge as Jake Oettinger secured a dominant shutout, silencing San Jose and proving the Dallas system finally clicked into high gear.

The Dallas Stars secured their first victory of the season with a dominant 5-0 shutout win over the San Jose Sharks. Miro Heiskanen opened the scoring late in the first period before Joel Kiviranta, Jamie Benn, and Jason Robertson all added goals in the second period. Mikko Rantanen capped the scoring in the third period with his first goal of the season.
Goaltender Jake Oettinger earned his first shutout of the season and the 17th of his career, while the Stars held San Jose to limited offensive chances. The Sharks played without captain Macklin Celebrini, who was ruled out before the game due to a lower-body injury.
