Edmonton announced that Mattias Janmark, Matt Savoie, Alec Regula, and Freddie Andersen were not expected to participate in training camp, while Jason Dickinson later suffered an injury. Because Regula spent over 50 games on the roster last season, his full cap hit applies while hurt. Further injuries could force the team to start the season with a short roster.
