The Los Angeles Kings are prioritizing defensive structure while implementing a more aggressive, attack-minded style under new head coach Peter Laviolette. After training camp and preseason, Laviolette has focused on cleaner breakouts, neutral zone movement, and blue-line pairings, such as pairing Drew Doughty with Brian Dumoulin.
