Plus And Minuses From The Ontario Reign’s Opening Week

Hockey Royalty's Kyle Garcia reviewed the positives and negatives from the Ontario Reign's opening week after they split a home-and-home series against the Coachella Valley Firebirds. On the positive side, Garcia highlighted the debut of new prospects including Vojtěch Čihař and Henry Brzustewicz, an overtime-winning performance by Jared Wright, and the team scoring eight goals across two games.

On the negative side, Garcia pointed to excessive penalties, including four committed by Lane Pederson, and struggling special teams. The Reign allowed 11 goals, tying for the league high, while their penalty kill surrendered five power-play goals on eight attempts.
