Minnesota Wild Assign Three Players To The AHL; Release A Pair From PTOs

The Minnesota Wild announced roster cuts on September 23, 2026, reducing their squad by five players. Defensemen Stevie Leskovar and Jack Peart, alongside goaltender Chase Wutzke, were assigned to the AHL's Iowa Wild. Additionally, the team released defenseman Mike Koster and goaltender William Rousseau from their professional tryouts.

Both Koster and Rousseau will report to the Iowa Wild's training camp following their releases. The assigned players were all selected in the 2024 NHL draft, with Peart entering his third AHL season, Leskovar heading into his first full campaign after time in the ECHL, and Wutzke making the jump from the WHL.
