The Minnesota Wild have recalled 23-year-old defenseman Carson Lambos from the AHL's Iowa Wild and reassigned depth forward Justin Kirkland. The roster adjustments come as Minnesota confronts multiple injuries on defense, with Matt Kiersted scheduled to make his 2026-27 season debut against the St. Louis Blues.
According to The Athletic, captain Jared Spurgeon and Olli Määttä are sidelined with upper-body injuries without a timeline for return. They join Brock Faber, Marcus Foligno, Nick Foligno, Filip Gustavsson, and Nico Sturm on Minnesota's extensive injury list.
