The New York Islanders have announced that 105-year-old World War II veteran Dominick Critelli will perform the national anthem before Saturday's home opener against the New Jersey Devils at UBS Arena. Critelli previously played the anthem on his saxophone before an Islanders game against the New York Rangers last December.

Critelli is a decorated Army staff sergeant and Battle of the Bulge survivor who immigrated to the United States from Italy as a child. A resident of Floral Park, he practices his saxophone daily and performs in honor of his fellow soldiers who did not return home.
