New York Islanders defenseman Ryan Pulock will miss two to four weeks due to an upper-body injury, the team announced Sunday. Pulock sustained the injury just 51 seconds into Thursday's 4-3 overtime victory over the Minnesota Wild and subsequently missed Saturday's 4-0 loss against the Edmonton Oilers.
The 32-year-old defenseman joins an expanding injury list for the Islanders, who are already without defenseman Alexander Romanov due to a torn ACL. Forwards Mathew Barzal, Calum Ritchie, and Matias Maccelli also remain sidelined, leaving head coach Pete DeBoer without five regular contributors ahead of Thursday's matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes.
