Writer Ben Fraser compiled a list highlighting the greatest players in Ottawa Senators franchise history since the team's inception in 1992. Longtime captain Daniel Alfredsson is ranked as the greatest player in franchise history, leading the organization with 1,157 points, as well as holding franchise records for goals and assists.
Alfredsson served as Ottawa's captain from 1999 to 2013 and helped lead the team to the 2007 Stanley Cup Final before having his jersey number retired in December 2016. The ranking also features prominent franchise figures including center Jason Spezza, goaltender Craig Anderson, and defenseman Erik Karlsson, along with an honorable mention for Chris Phillips.
