The Philadelphia Flyers have loaned 22-year-old forward Alex Bump to the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The roster move was made to create space for recently signed forward Michael Bunting on the NHL roster. Bump had initially secured a roster spot out of training camp for the start of the 2026-27 NHL season.
Bump went scoreless through three games this season and was recently a healthy scratch against the Tampa Bay Lightning. While players like Carl Grundstrom and Garrett Wilson were potential options to move, Philadelphia opted to send Bump down to reset in the AHL.
