The Flyers are knocking, but nobody's home.

The Philadelphia Flyers have made no progress in their efforts to acquire Detroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin via trade. Larkin requested a trade and was stripped of his captaincy before the season, but NHL insider David Pagnotta reported that the forward has repeatedly turned down the Flyers as an approved destination. The Flyers currently sit at an 0-2-2 record and remain the only winless team in the Eastern Conference.
Larkin possesses a full no-trade clause and has five years remaining on his contract carrying an $8.7 million annual cap hit. While Flyers general manager Danny Briere is actively pursuing upgrades at center following an earlier failed offer sheet for Leo Carlsson, Philadelphia remains dependent on Larkin expanding his trade list as the situation develops.
