The Philadelphia Flyers reportedly do not plan to fire head coach Rick Tocchet despite starting the season with a 0-5-2 record. According to Sportsnet reporter Elliotte Friedman, general manager Danny Briere is frustrated but unlikely to replace Tocchet, who is currently in the second year of a five-year contract after guiding the team to the second round of the playoffs last season.
Forward Trevor Zegras publicly backed Tocchet following Sunday's defeat, stating that the locker room remains fully supportive of their coach. While roster adjustments remain limited due to recent contract extensions and no-trade clauses, the front office appears committed to keeping Tocchet in place for now.
