A rapidly growing bond on and off the ice.

Young forwards Matvei Michkov and Porter Martone led the Philadelphia Flyers to their first win of the season in Game 10 on Saturday night, defeating the Ottawa Senators 3-1. Paired on a line centered by Noah Cates under head coach Rick Tocchet, the two wingers combined for Philadelphia's first two goals, with Martone tying the game before Michkov scored on the power play.
The emerging chemistry between 21-year-old Michkov and 19-year-old rookie Martone has quickly developed on and off the ice. Martone noted his deliberate efforts to help Michkov navigate the language barrier, while Michkov emphasized his desire to mentor and support Martone through the high expectations of his rookie campaign.
