The Tampa Bay Lightning recalled forward Dominic James on Wednesday, five days after assigning him to the Syracuse Crunch. The Lightning are set to host the Seattle Kraken on Thursday night at Benchmark International Arena.

The Tampa Bay Lightning recalled forward Dominic James from the AHL's Syracuse Crunch on Wednesday ahead of Thursday's game against the Seattle Kraken. The 24-year-old was initially assigned to Syracuse five days prior to gain game action after missing training camp with a hand injury suffered during an offseason workout.
James recorded seven goals and 15 points across 43 regular-season games for Tampa Bay last season, along with two goals in seven playoff contests. His return may prompt a lineup shift for head coach Jon Cooper, particularly with forward Jeffrey Viel's status uncertain following a fight in Tuesday's game against the New York Rangers.
