The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forward Dominic James from the AHL's Syracuse Crunch. The roster move comes five days after James was initially assigned to the minor league club following his recovery from a preseason hand injury. He skated in two games for Syracuse before earning the call-up back to the NHL roster.
James recorded 15 points in 43 NHL games for the Lightning as a rookie last season. Ahead of an upcoming home matchup against the Seattle Kraken, he provides forward depth and is expected to compete for fourth-line minutes alongside Conor Geekie and Jeffrey Viel.
