A Maple Leafs trade pitch would bring Devils defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler to Toronto in exchange for a substantial package of draft picks.

A trade proposal published via the PuckGM simulator suggests the Toronto Maple Leafs acquire defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler from the New Jersey Devils. In exchange, the Devils would receive defenseman prospect William Villeneuve, Colorado's 2027 first-round pick, and Toronto's second-round picks in 2027 and 2028.
Jonathan Vankin of Heavy reports that Siegenthaler carries a $3.4 million cap hit through the 2027-28 season and holds a 10-team no-trade list. While the move would fortify Toronto's defensive depth, the article notes New Jersey would gain significant draft assets and $2.525 million in salary cap flexibility.
