The latest news, notes and observations from Moose skate.

The Manitoba Moose returned to practice following a day off and an opening-weekend sweep over the Chicago Wolves. The team recorded a 3-0 shutout on Saturday and followed with an 8-3 victory on Sunday. Nearly the entire roster was present and accounted for at the morning skate, with forward lines and defensive pairings actively preparing for the upcoming schedule.
Forward Kieron Walton was the only player absent from the main skate, though head coach Mark Morrison noted Walton skated beforehand as he recovers from a lower-body injury. The Moose will hold another practice session on Wednesday before embarking on their first road trip of the season.
