The Winnipeg Jets have taken a bit of an “out with the old, in with the new” approach this year, with recent draft picks such as Viggo Bjorck, Tyrel Bauer, Brad Lambert and Elias Salomonsson all on the current roster.

Goaltenders Dom DiVincentiis and Thomas Milic led the Manitoba Moose to an opening weekend sweep against the Chicago Wolves. The American Hockey League club secured two consecutive home wins at Canada Life Centre by a combined score of 11-3. DiVincentiis delivered a 36-save shutout on Saturday, while Milic stopped 25 of 28 shots on Sunday to cap off the dominant performance.
Offensive contributions came from several Winnipeg Jets prospects, including Brayden Yager, who scored twice and added an assist over the weekend. Kevin He made AHL history as the first Chinese-born player to play in the league, recording two goals and an assist. Colby Barlow also registered three points, while defenceman Alfons Freij scored his first professional goal.
