The Knights star has revealed the hardest part of his comeback, as well as his biggest motivator.

Newcastle Knights second-rower Dylan Lucas reflected on his rapid nine-week recovery from a dislocated ankle as he prepares for the NRL Grand Final against the Sydney Roosters. Drawing from his own rehabilitation journey, Lucas shared advice for Penrith Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary following Cleary's recent ankle fracture, emphasizing the critical mental battle of regaining confidence.
Lucas highlighted the importance of staying closely connected with teammates during long recovery periods to prevent negative thoughts. He cited the desire to play alongside departing teammates Dane Gagai and Tyson Frizell as a primary motivation for returning in time for the finals series.
