London Broncos half-back Gairo Voro is expected to make an early return to Papua New Guinea ahead of the 2027 season, according to reports. The 23-year-old playmaker had previously agreed to a development deal with the upcoming NRL franchise PNG Chiefs for 2028. However, reports from Australia indicate he will re-join feeder club PNG Hunters in 2027 to target a direct pathway into the Chiefs' inaugural top-30 squad.

Voro enjoyed an exceptional 2026 campaign under head coach Jason Demetriou, winning Championship Player of the Year. He registered 39 tries in 32 appearances to help guide the Broncos to a treble, which included lifting the 1895 Cup, the League Leaders' Shield, and winning the Grand Final.
